23rd Annual New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Conference

CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE FAQ

What do I need to know about COVID-19?

NJEPA and Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center will be in full compliance with all local, State and CDC guidelines in place at the time the conference is presented. This will include: face covering requirements, social distancing requirements, special precautions for food and beverage service as well as any special requirements for public meetings and room occupancy (if they are required at the time of the conference). Any special instructions that you need to be aware of will be sent to you prior to the conference with your confirmed registration.

Please ensure that you have a face covering with you, maintain your social distancing, wash your hands frequently (sanitizing stations will be set up around the venue) and follow any special instructions posted by NJEPA or Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center.

NJEPA is very appreciative of the work you as a Public Safety Professional have performed throughout this difficult time and we will make every effort to continue to protect you as we move forward. We can only do this with your support.

What are the fees to attend the conference?

The full list of conference attendee Fees, Menus and Options can be found by CLICKING HERE.

Can I cancel my registration?

Your registration is NOT refundable but IS transferable to someone else to attend in your place with no problem. If you need to transfer your registration, please contact our Executive Director.

NJEPA is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization and the registration fees go to offset only a small portion of the cost of bringing the conference to you. The majority of the fee you pay has been spent on your conference experience well before the conference begins.

If someone will be attending in your place, please log back into your registration utilizing the instructions in your confirmation e-mail to make the change. Or you can instruct the person attending in your place to visit the On-Site Registration booth when they arrive and we can make the change at that time.

Does NJEPA accept agency Purchase Orders?

NJEPA does accept Purchase Orders (PO) as a courtesy to our attendees. Please note that NJEPA will not be taking "group" registrations this year, each attendee must register individually. However, we encourage agencies to group registrations into single purchase orders for more efficiency for your agency. It is the attendee’s responsibility to make sure that the PO and any required documents have been submitted to NJEPA PRIOR to the start of the conference or payment will need to be made at the time of registration check-in. POs cost NJEPA a great deal of time and money to collect so please show us the courtesy to process these documents in a timely manner.

  • In order to receive the "Early Bird" rate, POs MUST be received by the Early Bird cut off date.

  • All POs MUST be paid for within two (2) months of the close of the conference.

If problems occur and are not corrected with a PO, an Attendee(s) or Agency may be required to pay for future events with a Credit Card.

Are there any additional fees related to paying for registration?

The only additional fees that you would incur as part of your registration would come from a “returned check fee” or an actual bank or other fee incurred in processing your registration. This fee will be the higher of either the bank fee or $50. It is the Attendee’s responsibility to ensure that all registration fees are paid in a timely manner.
