22nd Annual New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association Conference

HIGHER EDUCATION INITIATIVE

Are your students PREPARING for careers in Emergency Management or Homeland Security? If so, you may want to make sure you and your students attend the 22nd Annual New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association Conference at the Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City, NJ May 4th through May 8th, 2020.

The conference is the emergency management industry’s premier event in New Jersey. NJEPA will be offering a reduced student rate ($50) to encourage attendance. This year we are looking for individuals entering into the profession to attend the conference and to take part in outstanding training and breakout sessions as well as the new Young Professionals Engagement Event. This is a networking event for young professionals to meet and network with emergency management industry professionals from New Jersey and around the Region.

Besides outstanding training and breakout sessions, the New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association Conference also offers a large exhibit hall for Institutes of Higher Education to be able to display their course offerings to New Jersey Emergency Managers, Homeland Security Professionals, Public Health Officials and First Responders. Information on participating in the Exhibit Hall can be found by clicking here.

The New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association also proudly offers the Captain Jonathan C. Young Memorial Scholarship Program for up to three (3) individuals who are either involved in emergency services or have parent(s) or grandparent(s) involved in emergency services and are pursuing studies in emergency services for the 2020 /2021 academic year. Information on the Scholarship Program can be found here.

Please reach out to the Higher Education Committee should you have any questions about the conference. We are happy to work with you to achieve the desired learning outcomes that match your course or department.
