Summary of Course & Demonstration:
Ineffective communications put responders in the field at risk, and can mean the difference between life and death for those awaiting help. Too often, inadequate and unreliable communication systems compromise emergency responders’ ability to respond effectively to incidents that range from day-to-day operations to large-scale emergencies.
Emergency management, law enforcement, fire response, and emergency medical services responders rely on communications technology for support in dangerous and rapidly changing environments. Innovative solutions and advancements in new technologies are helping keep emergency responders safe while protecting the public.
The Resilient Communications event by Sprint’s ERT will focus on how agencies handle communication crisis. ERT will develop a scenario and interaction with the audience to put a stress on the current communication networks and mimic a disaster scenario. During the scenario, ERT will highlight a variety solutions available to agencies to overcome communication blackouts. This is a hands-on, live, interactive demonstration.
