Statement on COVID-19 and How it Has Impacted the 2020 NJEPA Conference (5/21/20)

As some of us finish up over two months of self-isolation and social distancing, and others are exhausted from being on the front line day after day, we wanted to update you on where we stand with the rescheduled 2020 NJEPA Conference.

We are moving forward with our August 24th-28th, 2020 dates.  Although Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center has not yet reopened, we have remained in close contact with them and they are developing their protocols in alignment with CDC recommendations to keep conference attendees and their workforce safe.

Since many of our speakers are also involved in the response to COVID-29, we have not yet received confirmation that they will all still be available to present.  This may remain a moving target for some time, so we ask your patience as we work towards establishing our new schedule, which we hope to publish by the end of June.

At this point, we have only lost one exhibitor due to a scheduling conflict.  We remain committed to bringing you a robust, comprehesive and timely conference even if it may have a different feel compared to previous years.

Please remember that we are an all-volunteer staff in the event it takes us a little longer to respond to your inquiries.

Stay well and stay safe, we look forward to seeing you in August!

Sincerely,

Patricia MacFarland Goelz,
President
NJEPA
