22nd Annual New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association Conference

Continuing into its 22nd year, the New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Conference will continue its focus on Young Professionals in Emergency Management. We are hard at work on new programs and events to develop excellence in the field of Emergency Preparedness.

Engaging Young Professionals

NJEPA continues to work to improve Emergency Management well beyond the confines of the conference.  We developed this specialized program for “the next generation of emergency managers” (under 40+/-).

This session provides a forum where the up and coming emergency manager (professionals in management, planning, health, transportation, non-profits, technical paths and students or people considering careers in EM) can meet those who are established in Emergency Management while learning about the many avenues to working in the field.  Individuals may network with peers and develop those essential resources needed for a successful, fulfilling career in emergency management. This session will present opportunities to meet industry leaders and participate in activities and/or facilitated discussions on emerging emergency management topics.

Higher Education Project

NJEPA continues to work with colleges and universities to not only provide meaningful training and discussions the week of the conference, but also to help engage students who are the future of our profession. Whether it is emergency management, homeland security, public health, medical, mental health or social service, the NJEPA Conference provides a venue for opportunities not found in the traditional classroom for professional growth. NJEPA encourages this collaboration through:

  • Our scholarship program, to assist our future emergency managers in their academic endeavors

  • The opportunity for colleges and universities to take advantage of the conference as an academic classroom with special student rates and sessions

  • The opportunities for our partners in Higher Education to spotlight their programs and offerings to all of the emergency professionals attending the conference

For more information about participation, please contact Higher Education Committee Chair, Michael Bradeis michael.bradeis@njepa.org
